EXPERIENCE
Prior to establishing Grainger Financial Services in 1984, assisted and counseled business owners on credit and debt matters with a national commercial bank for 5 years. To better reflect our exclusive professional financial planning practice, we changed our registered trade name in Year 2011 to “Grainger Wealth Management”.

SERVICES
Comprehensive financial planning services are provided for each client.

FINANCIAL PRODUCTS Available
Licensed to acquire a significant array of insurance products.
Other bank products, investment company products, individual stocks and bonds and other financial products are available through ‘referral arrangements’ with associated specialists.

INVESTMENT STYLE
I have a definite value bias.  Income-generating investments are generally core holdings for our clients’ investment capital.  However, through over 30 years education and experience in financial services, I also understand the distinct benefits of growth investments for many of our clients’ portfolios.

INSURANCE Protection for client accounts
Bank deposits are insured by Canadian Deposit Insurance Corporation (www.cdic.ca) and insurance product values protected by Assuris (www.assuris.ca ).
Canadian Investment Protection Fund (www.cipf.ca) applies to many investment products administered by the firms with which we have Referral Arrangements.  Be certain to ask us to clarify if your particular investment will be covered by insurance and the limitations of such coverage.

LIABILITY INSURANCE
We maintain Professional Liability Insurance ($2,000,000 minimum per Advisor)

COMPENSATION
All client accounts are administered on a ‘fee for service’ basis.
Our fees are reviewed annually and set with consideration to the rates charged by other qualified financial planning professionals in our region.
Terms of Engagement and annual Retainer Fees are customized for each client’s objectives and circumstances.
Maximum billable fees are always disclosed and agreed to by both parties in advance of work being performed.
Investment and insurance products are provided on a ‘0% / no-load basis’
Compensation received from third party financial institutions (rates fluctuate often) resulting from placement of capital from clients is deducted from client fees payable.

INVESTMENT PLAN
An Investment Policy Statement is a fundamental part of every client’s investment plan.
(Relevant market index benchmarks will be used and explained regularly.)

ASSET MIX ALLOCATION
Asset allocation mix is reviewed quarterly.  Rebalancing is principally based on individual client’s personal objectives and tolerance for volatility in their investment portfolio.  Consideration is also given to economic market conditions.

FINANCIAL PLAN
Written financial plans are prepared for each client and reviewed/updated regularly.
(Sample plans are available for review by prospective new clients.)

CLIENT BASE
I maintain primary responsibility for less than twenty (20) clients.
Through Financial Advisor associates, I assist with as many as 200 additional client accounts annually providing financial planning services on a sub-contract basis through  those other Financial Advisors (including accountants and lawyers).

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT QUALIFICATIONS
All of our associated staff are screened for professionalism, trust-worthiness, and concern for client confidentiality as well as competence.  My Assistants have/will have relevant office management and client service experience plus formal educational training related to our services and products distributed.

REPORTING
Clients receive consolidated investment reports quarterly.
(More frequent statements can be provided and are available upon request.)

NEWSLETTERS & Market Commentaries
Client contact is maintained through a variety of mediums including newsletters and periodic market commentaries.
